Hi there Clean Water Raingers. It’s that time of year again, for backpacks and books, carpools and classrooms, friends and fun, learning and laughing. Time for School!
Teachers spend a lot of time making their classrooms extra special and welcoming for their incoming students. Home schooling parents also provide a great learning environment for their children. Why? Because our children and students are special and we want you to succeed. As Captain Marshall of the Clean Water Raingers always says “every day your teachers give you a heaping plate of knowledge.” That is their job… and your job is to study and learn!
The Illinois River Watershed Partnership has a Clean Water Raingers After School Program at our Watershed Learning Center. Registration is now open for the 2015/16 school year, beginning September 1, 2015. As you can see in the photo below, the kids in the program earlier this year had a lot of fun. Parents can get more information by emailing email@example.com or register your student today.
Kids, I want to share my favorite bracelet with you in the photo below. It has a message that tells how I feel about all of our Clean Water Raingers. Can you translate the message?
Did you figure it out? I bet you did but, just in case, here is the solution:
I believe that you are going to have a great school year. I also believe that you are going to help take care of our watershed. Bring your parents and join other Clean Water Raingers for creek cleanups, planting trees, and other projects around the watershed. You will make a big difference and have fun at the same time!
Would you like to help with volunteer conservation projects such as planting trees and conducting creek clean-ups? Sign up here to be a volunteer with Illinois River Watershed Partnership, or visit www.irwp.org to check out our current events.
